I definitely felt more comfortable in the car after getting a good night's sleep and starting out earlier. We got on the road right at 9. Jonny has driven the whole way so far. I'd say how great he is (which is mostly true) but in all reality he just says that he hates the way I drive.

So today I felt like a TRUE Floridian. As soon as we left our hotel this morning and started back on the road there were these "HUGE" mountains. I wanted to be like "Look at those big mountains!" Now I know that these little tiny things are nothing compared to others, but leaving the flat land I couldn't help but marvel.
Another thing I noticed while driving today is that there is a lot of farm land out here. And it seems to me that everyone is growing corn. Well at least I think it is corn. Let me know what you think.
How's Duke? Well, Duke is great. He did much better today. He didn't pant very much and he slept a bit. He was also a lot less nervous at the hotel we stayed at which is good. I figure he'll be a pro at this by the end.
Well I know I've jumped around a lot in today's blog but I wanted to tell you everything...and it didn't all have much of an order. :o) We are staying in a hotel right outside of St. Louis, MO but are still in Illinios. I'm sure Missouri will welcome us tomorrow morning.
I will leave you with one last picture...it completely made my day. In Florida I've seen cows out in the pasture laying down and hiding in the shade under trees etc., but I have never seen cows swimming (or hanging out in the lake). Have you?
Yes that is corn and yes cows swim, in fact at Amish camp one is permitted to join in the fun...some even indulge in cow patty fights...hehe
