LET THE BLOGGING BEGIN! :o)
Ok so here we are...Pack out day. What does this mean? Well when you have the military move your household goods, you don't do the packing. I have spent that last few weeks throwing things away, going through and putting things where they "belong", and weeding out the stuff that I wouldn't want to chance going missing or being damaged (i.e. the queen sized quilt mom made me, photo albums, etc). Jonny of course has continually glanced in the "keep with us" room and that is followed immediately by a heavy sigh or a roll of the eyes. Of course he loves me and never says a word. :o)
So anyway, today is the day where two random strangers (from the moving company of course) come into your house and take everything out of your drawers and cabinets and pack it. You are left sitting on the couch with that sneaking suspition that you should be doing something, and also wondering if you packed enough to make it to your next destination without having to do laundry at one of the hotels along the way.
People say "don't you feel weird having them touch all of your things?" My answer to that is no. It is what it is and Leon the packing guy has been doing this for 23 years...he has to be way better at packing then me. (P.S. I hate packing...which also helps me to release control)
So here is a an after of my bedroom and a before of my kitchen (which looks so clean because I'm not supposed to empty my cabinets) and also a picture of Jonny and Duke showing you what our day is looking like.
